Warm Water Dog Swimming Classes

    Lisa Goebel, owner of Rummy’s Beach Club, would love to see 10 or 20 more dog swimming facilities in Texas in the next 5 years. “It’s not competition. It is a way to provide more facilities for more dogs to enjoy life. It is about the dogs. It is about dog owners wanting more for their dogs and creating facilities that provide just that,” explains Lisa.

    Rummy’s Beach Club teaches warm water dog swimming classes to help others learn how to swim dogs in a large, outdoor pool custom designed for swimming dogs, all dogs wear life jackets and owner participation is encouraged. The classes are several days long and we encourage you to stay at Rummy’s Beach Club because we start early and go all day.

Introduction to Warm Water Dog Swimming Class

    People who take a warm water dog swimming class -- or canine water therapy class -- or canine hydrotherapy class -- or some sort of class with dogs swimming, want to practice, practice, practice after learning the technique. This intense introductory course gives you 40+ hours of training and practice with 50+ dogs.

    Saturday–Wednesday, $1,200

    Extra practice Thurs & Fri, $200.00/day – though you will likely be too exhausted.

Accommodations

    EVERYTHING is included in the price of the warm water dog swimming class -- guest speakers, pool use, food, snacks, drinks, bedroom with TV, cable, ceiling fans, king or queen size bed, WI-FI and beautiful views. Transportation to and from the airport MAY be included depending on the time and place of your arrival and departure. Rummy’s is 30 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and 60 minutes from Houston Hobby Airport. If I am not able to pick you up or take you back to the airport, Z Limousine is a service I have used and have been happy with.

    The class, your room, meals and the pool are at Rummy’s Beach Club in Spring, Texas, 30 miles north of Houston, Texas the fourth largest city in America; 10 miles south of The Woodlands, Texas one of the fastest growing communities in Texas and America; 10 miles west of I-45 and 10 miles east of Tomball, Texas. You will be staying in a 2 story, 3000 sf., 6 bedroom, 3.5 bath home on one acre of land completely enclosed behind a large private fence with a monitored security alarm.

Reservations

    To reserve your spot in class, complete the:

    Dog Swimming Class Application

    and mail it with your check or money order to: Rummy’s Beach Club, 22111 Fields Lane, Spring, Texas 77389. Checks must be received 2 weeks prior to class. You can also mail or fax your completed application to Rummy’s, then pay by credit card or debit card using the Pay Pal button below. First paid, First served.

    Whether you stay at Rummy’s Beach Club or elsewhere, the cost of the class is the same. The class is priced as a package deal with everything included. This is an intense and tiring class. Unless you are used to spending all day in the water and sun, you will be completely exhausted at the end of each day and be happy that all you have to do is crawl in bed! Please do not bring your dogs if you are taking the class. We will have more than enough volunteer dogs to swim.

Refunds

    THERE ARE NO FULL REFUNDS ONCE YOU HAVE PAID FOR YOUR CLASS.

    If you cancel your class, you can use the money paid toward a future class or other service offered at Rummy’s Beach Club. If you cancel and will not be taking the class and do not need any service offered by Rummy’s, you will get a 50% refund.
