Learn How To Swim Dogs!
Learn how to swim dogs in a large, outdoor pool custom designed for dogs. Learn when and why to use doggie life jackets, how to swim all kinds of dogs, receive a certification in canine CPR and helpful guidance for advertising, networking, creating and running a facility like Rummy’s. Each class accommodates up to 6 students. Classes with less than 3 students will be cancelled. This class is offered each year in February.

Guest Speakers
Casey Farris teaches Dog CPR, First Aid, Safety, Geriatric Concerns & Emergencies. Casey, founder of Go Dog USA Academy, is one of the few people in Texas certified to teach Pet First Aid & CPR. She is also a Pet Sitter and founder of Bone Voyage Pet Sitting Services.
Terrie Irvin teaches Tellington Touch (T Touch), a positive approach to behavioral problems. Discover kind and effective ways to influence barking, chewing, leash pulling, fear & shyness, separation anxiety, aging issues, recovery from injury or surgery and more. Terrie is a Certified Canine T Touch Practitioner, a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and a Sports Massage Specialist and does Pain & Injury Management.
Accommodations
EVERYTHING is included in the price of the warm water dog swimming class -- guest speaker(s), pool use, food, snacks, drinks, bedroom with TV and all cable channels, ceiling fans, WI-FI and comfortable bed. Transportation to and from the airport MAY be included depending on the time and place of your arrival and departure. Rummy’s is 30 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and 60 minutes from Houston Hobby Airport. If I am not able to pick you up or take you back to the airport, Z Limousine is a service I recommend.
The class, your room, meals and the pool are at Rummy’s Beach Club in Spring, Texas, 30 miles north of Houston, Texas the fourth largest city in America; 10 miles south of The Woodlands, Texas one of the fastest growing communities in Texas and America; 10 miles west of I-45 and 10 miles east of Tomball, Texas. You will be staying in a 2 story, 3000 sf., 6 bedroom, 3.5 bath home on one acre of land completely enclosed behind a large private fence with a monitored security alarm.

People who take a warm water dog swimming class -- or canine water therapy class -- or canine hydrotherapy class -- or some sort of class learning how to swim dogs, want to practice, practice, practice after learning the technique. This intense introductory course gives you well over 50 hours of training and practice with 50-100 dogs with a wide variety of problems, canine CPR certification and knowledge of the Tellington Touch method.

Reservations
To reserve your spot in class, complete the:
Dog Swimming Class Application
and mail it with your check or money order to: Rummy’s Beach Club, 22111 Fields Lane, Spring, Texas 77389. Checks must be received 10 days prior to class AT THE LATEST! You can also mail or fax your completed application to Rummy’s, then pay by credit card or debit card using the Pay Pal button below.
Whether you stay at Rummy’s Beach Club or elsewhere, the cost of the class is the same, as it is priced as a package deal with everything included. This is an intense class - we start early and go all day – 12 hours each day. We encourage you to stay at Rummy’s, even if you live in the Houston area because being in the water all day is exhausting. If you stay here, you can go upstairs and go to bed – no worries about driving in traffic, taking care of others when you get home, etc. At the end of each day you will be happy that all you have to do is crawl in bed! Sorry - no personal dogs allowed in class - we will have more than enough dogs to swim.
Refunds
THERE ARE NO FULL REFUNDS ONCE YOU HAVE PAID FOR YOUR CLASS.
If you cancel your class, you can use 100% of the money paid toward a future class or other services offered at Rummy’s Beach Club if cancelled 6 weeks before the first day of class, 50% if cancelled any time after that. If you cancel and will not be taking the class and do not need any services offered by Rummy’s, you will receive a 75% refund if cancelled within 6 weeks of the first day of class, a 50% refund if cancelled within 4 weeks and no refund is given if you cancel with less than 4 weeks before the first day of class.
