Pit Bulls are the most discriminated breed of dog in America today. Some people have hairs on the back of their neck that stand up when they hear: Pit Bull. If you are one of these uneducated people – it is okay. Many people who now own pit bulls were scared of them at one time because of the way the media portrays them. Then they met one. This discrimination is hard to watch. Pit Bulls are intelligent, athletic, energy-driven dogs that need the same love attention and exercise as other dogs. The problem is when you own a Pit Bull and go to the dog park, ANY problem that arises between your dog and another dog will be your dog’s fault. Others may leave as soon as they see you enter the park, clutching their dogs tightly as if to “save” their dog from your Pit Bull.

At Rummy’s, we have an acre of land completely surrounded by an 8 foot commercial chain link fence in concrete – a private dog park. There is a lot of open space to run, all kinds of things to pee and poop on and a swimming pool to get your Pittie pitifully tired. We understand how important it is to exercise dogs and want your Pit Bull to be able to do so without discrimination, rude remarks or a law suit.

We have had Pit Bulls swim here and jump in our Dock Jumping Classes. They are incredible athletes and we want to see more get involved with canine sports and help educate the public.
